Hi there! I'm Kai, originally from Myanmar. I have been working in the hospitality industry since I arrived here in Melbourne 2017. I love working in hospitality as I have learnt a lot from different places and people I met. I've been working in cafes after I graduated, diving deep into the world of coffee, and soaking up knowledge from my fantastic coworkers as I always wanted to learn more about coffee.
Since it is now time to step up in my career and time to take the challenge myself, I am changing career by using my experiences and skills I have learnt in hospitality and the knowledge from my academic background.
I earned my Bachelor of Business in Leadership and Management and have been continually expanding my skills by taking online courses in digital marketing. I thrive on the ever-changing nature of this creative industry and am always eager to learn more.
With a can-do attitude and a passion for the digital marketing industry, I'm excited to see where this journey in this industry and beyond will take me!
Why the Digital Marketing Industry?
Working in the hospitality industry has given me the amazing opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. I've encountered customers and coworkers from diverse industries, and a few of my colleagues who are freelancers in professional photography and digital marketing industries, have really sparked my interest.
These interactions inspired me to dive into digital marketing, plus experience from my studies in undergraduate which led me to seek advice on how and where to learn more. I collaborated with a coworker who runs a photography business, and I had the chance to work on her website design, content creation, and keyword research for SEO ranking. It was such a fun experience.
In 2021, I also helped running two of my family's online businesses on Facebook and successfully boosted their conversion rates within a few months. I'm all about taking on new challenges with a can-do attitude, and digital marketing has become my latest passion. I can't wait to see where it takes me next!
